Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is a CRO?
A Contract Research Organisation (CRO) is a company that provides support to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in the form of research services outsourced on a contract basis.
  • What is your lead time for results?
Determined on a client to client basis and breadth of work, Tetrad Discovery will work closely with you to ensure timely delivery of your experimental data.
  • How do you provide my results?
A draft report will be supplied for your approval within 2 weeks of assay completion, however, wherever possible, preliminary data can be provided within 1 week of results generation.
  • What is ELLA?
The ELLA has an extraordinarily large dynamic range. that coupled with its unparalleled sensitivity makes this technology the superior alternative to traditional methods. The LLOQ’s for some analytes are as low as 1pg/mL and all is perfectly reproducible. Ella is your immunoassay problem solver. The Simple Plex assays are hands-free, single or multi-analyte with no cross-reactivity. ELLA only needs a maximum volume of 30 µL of your precious sample.
  • Do you collaborate internationally?
Tetrad Discovery is able to work with clients from across the globe. Whilst based in Kent, UK, we have recently opened a second site in Dubai, UAE.
  • Are you able to run services not listed on your website?
Yes, This is one of our strengths. we are happy working alongside you to develop novel assays to suit your individual requirements. We work in collaboration with you to help design a package of work which will deliver not only your requirements at the highest quality but help achieve these in the most cost effective way.
  • What is Molecular Dynamics?
Molecular dynamics (MD) is the study of molecular movement at an atomic scale , MD is often referred to as a computational microscope with a resolution of an atom. This field utilises numerous disciplines of science to produce accurate simulations of molecules that can be designed to show ligand interactions at an atomic resolution.
  • How can Molecular dynamics benefit me?
Molecular dynamics can provide valuable data in relation to how your compounds/protein of interest interact with their natural environment. As well as this it is often used to identify mode of action between ligands and their targets. Molecular dynamics can give rise to a higher detailed look into your desired compounds.
