Academic Partnerships: Guest Speaking on Bio-Analytical Ethics & Industry Impact at the University of Kent

As part of Tetrad Discovery’s active commitment to fostering the South East life sciences ecosystem, Principal Scientist Rachel McCarthy was invited as a guest speaker to post-graduate Biosciences Master’s students at the University of Kent.

Presenting within the Research, Ethics, and Impact module, Rachel mapped out the real-world trajectory of taking an early-stage therapeutic target from an academic bench to a validated, commercial bio-analytical assay. The session provided the post-graduates with an unvarnished look at the frameworks, and operational ethics required to run a Contract Research Organisation.

It was a wonderful opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and give a real-world perspective on life in a CRO. A thoroughly enjoyable experience and one we hope to repeat!
